when Nicola and I were on a call a few weeks ago, we decided we wanted to create this challenge as a way of holding each other accountable and using our art as a form of healing and freeing ourselves from the shuffle of day-to-day life. and, I can say, this week, I believe our purpose for this challenge is truly being emphasized.
for the last few weeks, nearly everyday, I have been working on nails! of course, I still have a lot of other commitments on my daily agenda.... but, the purpose of this, was, to make the time. and, I am proud to say, I have been! even if I am not feeling like working on nails, I am decluttering and re-organizing my space, making it functional, etc! I remember one week I had so many different challenges to do sets for, that I just drew my ideas out so I could remember them and put the task off for a few days until I had more time/energy.
one thing I believe everyone will take from this challenge, is the beauty of consistency and prioritizing ourselves and our love for this creative outlet. we are limitless! we just have to put our minds to it and work the kinks out until we get into the groove of everything.
with this weeks challenge being hand drawn art, I can say I was working on a nail yesterday and I hated it while I was working on it.... but today I looked at it closely and I couldn't believe I hated it so much LMAO!! omg, can you believe that? I wish I were lying! so.... I don't know if I will keep working on those nails... but I am currently waiting on a new product in the mail so I can apply another full-set 🙂
reflecting on my self-improvement over the last few weeks, I am proud of my commitment and my continued efforts towards conquering my dreams! ❤︎ bbs!
