wk 1 reflections @ScorpionGoddessNails
Quote from Scorpion Goddess on October 5, 2024, 10:39 pmhey babes! okay so for week 1, I was coming in hot! I was feeling super motivated and excited because Nicola and I created the idea for this challenge, and then we decided, why not run the challenge ahead of time, ourselves, that way we can show you all how it works and give you all a first-person feel into what to anticipate.
so, here we are! now, I will say, the timing of this was definitely spur of the moment. more, I already had numerous projects lined up for the week, so, I had low confidence in my ability to deliver. now, in the back of my mind, I kept telling myself.... a foil set won't take that long! LOL! but, the real worry I have, is, the fact I have literally zero idea what to do! but, now that I am typing, I am imagining a design I may decide to execute on. but.... you know what has been so awesome, is that, in the back of my mind, I know I HAVE to do this damn set! LOL. it may be late! but, I need to do it because its a commitment I made, in which I am embracing consistency, versatility, and reflection.
through this week I have been pushing this design off.... I have been reflecting on myself as a young adult and even a teenager.... I would be in school getting awesome grades, which was insane to me because I was always skipping classes, goofing off, cheating on tests, LOL!!!! I mean, the only class I really did perform in, was anything with writing. and, business, sociology, or psychology. which is ironic, because, theres something about being totally mind-fucked by waiting until the very last minute, that truly grinds my gears and keeps me going LOL!!! can anyone else relate?
but, to be totally honest, I was working on entries for 2 different nail art challenges plus nail sets for filming. so, as much as I wish I had a beautiful set to share... I'll be coming back to update this post once its done 😜
more, this week I worked a lot with Nicola, in regards to being supportive and also offering some tips on how I am able to continue to stay motivated and really push myself while embracing the reality that, we all have physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial limits; we are all human. we worked together on reflection, self-awareness, and self-love/self-acceptance and praise. being kinder to ourselves can change our reality for the better in the blink of an eye!
