I started my diy nail blogging journey in April 2020, and it was one of the best and most well thought out choices I've ever made in my life--which, I am extremely proud of! as dramatic and exaggerated as it may sound, this nail art journey has truly saved my life! if you follow along on my YouTube channel, then you may have heard me share my story a time or two--I will share again here.
the most ironic part of my journey/story, for me, is the TIMING and the CIRCUMSTANCES. back in 2014 I attempted doing my own nails with an acrylic kit from Sally's Beauty, and, its a LONG story! the short version: it was an epic failure lmao!
when I met my lover, I felt like such a plain Jane, and I wanted to do something to make myself more eye capturing to him hahahah, so, I decided to start getting my nails done 🙂 and, that only lasted for about 2 months, and the pandemic happened. I was in the middle of SUCH a LIFE CRISIS LOL! I couldn't get my nails done because of quarantine. and, that is when I became madly obsessed with Femi Beauty and truly gained to confidence and momentum to pursue my YouTube channel and continue engaging and showcasing my nail art on Instagram. it took months for my nail supplies to arrive to me in the mail because of the pandemic. and, once I received my supplies, I would work for an easy 16-20hrs each day and pulled constant all-nighters so I could learn, practice, and perfect my craft.
