as an Artist, no matter what field of art, it’s sooooooo very important to love your body and S T R E T C H!
when researched Kundalini yoga is described as a powerful form of yoga that focuses on awakening the dormant energy at the base of the spine, known as Kundalini energy. the practice of Kundalini yoga incorporates dynamic movements, breathing techniques, meditation, chanting, and the use of specific postures called asanas to activate this energy and promote spiritual, mental, and physical well-being.
i don’t even know where to begin, when it comes to discussing this topic. as we know, in general health, stretching (sometimes referred to as yoga) is fundamental. and, that is, of course, if you’re willing to be 100% honest with yourself 😄☺️😅 because every single morning when you get out of bed, the most important thing to do, aside from pray 💕, is to stretch 😂😂😂😂😂😂
now, imagine spending 16-20hours a day, perhaps, creating, producing art, contributing to life’s beauty through creative expression! it could be painting, sewing, cooking, teaching, doing nails, being a masseuse, lamp working, the list goes on and on and on and on and on! literally 🤯
anyways, LOL, the point is!!! imagine spending 16-20hours a day doing something you’re passionate about, and imagine doing it 3-4-6-7 times a week…… now, imagine how much your body will have done to bring you mental and emotional fulfillment, when those days come to a close. perhaps even physical, spiritual, and financial fulfillment 🤷🏻♀️
can you begin to also imagine how important self love and inner reflection becomes, at that point? it becomes crucial! it’s similar to things people say like, “health is wealth” or “You ARE your brand!”
with that said, all in a nutshell, the importance of a simple 15-30minutes daily yoga routine is immense ❣️❣️❣️❣️ and i really wanted to take the time to share that with everyone reading this post. because, i can definitely attest to it~can you relate? 💕🧘🏽♀️
with yoga, we are able to feel our bodies, from the inside, out. we awaken ourselves, and come to the realization that we are more than simply humans in this world…. we are a vessel. we house Life and Light. we are born onto this planet, to love, eternally. and, through yoga, channeling our inward energies, we are able to live eternally, while here, in this world 🌎💕 crazy, right?!
it sounds scarier than it actually is LOL because, what’s worse, is to live life never knowing….. 😵💫 and missing out on the beauty of life’s true purpose, for you 🧘🏽♀️🙌🏾💕💖💖💖💖💖🔥🫶🏽🌎
the practice of Kundalini is designed to clear energetic blockages in the body, allowing the Kundalini energy to flow freely through the seven chakras, or energy centers, along the spine. this flow of energy is believed to bring about a state of heightened awareness, inner peace, and a deeper connection to oneself and the universe. the importance of Kundalini yoga lies in its holistic approach to wellness, aiming to balance the mind, body, and spirit while tapping into the vast potential of human consciousness.
Kundalini energy is considered a potent, dormant force at the base of the spine in yogic philosophy, believed to be associated with spiritual awakening and the potential for heightened consciousness when awakened and guided through the body’s energy centers.
no, there is a significant difference between simple stretching exercises and Kundalini yoga. while both involve physical movements, their underlying principles, objectives, and effects on the body and mind differ.
simple stretching primarily focuses on loosening muscles, improving flexibility, and relieving tension in specific areas of the body. on the other hand, Kundalini yoga is a comprehensive practice that goes beyond physical postures. the aim of Kundalini is to awaken and balance the flow of energy throughout the body, aligning the chakras and fostering holistic well-being—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
while simple stretching can offer physical benefits, Kundalini yoga aims for a deeper integration of mind, body, and spirit, facilitating not only physical flexibility but also mental clarity, emotional balance, and spiritual growth.

beginning with simple stretching lays a crucial foundation for a successful journey into Kundalini yoga. through these basic stretches, individuals cultivate an initial awareness of their body, noting its limits, tensions, and sensations. this practice acts as a gentle introduction to movement, gradually enhancing flexibility and reducing stiffness, preparing the body for the more dynamic movements characteristic of Kundalini yoga.
furthermore, these stretches promote relaxation by releasing muscle tension, fostering the groundwork for deeper relaxation techniques central to Kundalini practices. as practitioners focus on breath and alignment during stretching, they begin to forge a connection between the mind and body, establishing the concentration and awareness necessary for the intricate techniques involved in Kundalini yoga.
moreover, consistent stretching routines lay the groundwork for a disciplined practice, fostering readiness for the more advanced breath-work, meditation, and kriyas integral to the Kundalini journey. ultimately, simple stretching serves as an accessible and gentle entry point, facilitating the development of vital skills and readiness for the profound experiences inherent in Kundalini yoga.
easing into Kundalini yoga involves a mindful progression that begins with research and understanding of its principles, breath-work, postures, chanting, and meditation techniques. start slowly with shorter sessions of 15 to 30 minutes, allowing your body and mind to adapt. focus on basic breath-work exercises and simple yoga postures suitable for beginners. gradually introduce mantra meditation and pay close attention to your body’s responses, taking breaks or modifying the practice as needed.
as comfort and familiarity grow, increase the duration and complexity of your practice under your instructor’s guidance. consistency is key, so aim for regular sessions to develop a routine and experience the benefits of Kundalini yoga more profoundly.
ultimately, approach Kundalini yoga as a personal journey, honoring your body’s pace and being open to growth and exploration at your own rhythm.
